First time since having Merlino's here many years ago. I got a mushroom Swiss burger, small fries, and medium peach freeze. Prices have likely gone up somewhat, so my total bill was about $23...which was a bit high, but I will say the burger was cooked nicely, peach freeze on point and loved the numerous flavor selections as well, and fries weren't too shabby...perhaps a bit overpriced, but tasty. The ambiance was pleasant, and service was pretty fast as well...the one taking the orders was friendly as well. I'll be back when my budget allows!

Came here for lunch over the weekend since we were in the area and I was excited to have another one of their freezes! I ordered a large with peach and strawberry guava. Oddly enough, the guy thought I wanted two for whatever reason.. since he already scooped it I just decided to take it anyway and save one for later. But that was so strange since I never asked for two. The Hagen burger was pretty good, very juicy but also kinda messy, but at least it was juicy instead of dry! Unfortunately the sweet potato fries were completely burnt, we ate what we could but they were just all so dark and overcooked. Service was ok, they were helpful and got what you needed but not in a super friendly way. Just felt like they would rather be anywhere but there. Maybe because it seemed pretty busy, but still not an excuse to be rude or offputting. Overall sticking to my original review - if I'm in the area I'll just come by for a freeze (or apparently two!).

I come here every time I want a good burger. Their freezes are amazing, I get one whenever I go too, but their burgers are some of the best in sac easily. Came here 30 minutes before close and service was still perfect as always, food amazing, and workers beyond kind. And restaurant is always clean, have never seen it dirty. Have come here many times and have never had a bad experience. Also, onion rings fries and their ranch! Is so good. And regular sandwiches. Can't go wrong with anything on this menu tbh. You can tell the people that work here/ owners love their job/ business and put a lot of effort into it. Love this place!

Merlinos anyone? As kids, we used to frequent here when it was called MERLINOS. Its under a different name now but the experience is absolutely still incredible. Back in the day, It was heaven on earth for us kids! If there ever was a perfect dessert ever created for those sweltering Sacramento summers, this is it! The texture is like a finely chiseled icicle dream within the convenience of a cup. Its soft, its sweet and its the perfect treat. Two scoops and two yumz up for sure.

First timer. Delicious cheeseburger and perfectly salted French fries. We got the Hagen cheeseburger. We'll definitely be back when it's warmer out so we can get a freeze.

The service from this young staff was very nice and helpful. The food was just as I remember from many years ago absolutely amazing. The freezes are one of a kind and worth the trip by themselves. If you've never been here you have to try it!

I finally after many years tried their bacon cheeseburger and onion rings (I've only had their legendary fruit freezes) and OMG, they make a legit burger and the onion rings are amazing! They charbroil the burger patty and the onion rings are beer battered which win my heart! One of the best burgers I ever had in a while! Yum! Everyone who works here is so nice too!

Amazing freezes - and opportunity for patrons to support a great local business. Been going here since I was a young cub when they were named "Merlinos". Name has changed but quality is still top notch and depending on the season different freeze flavors are available based on fruit in season.

After dinner one night, my dad brought me to the Original Hagen's Orange Freeze for dessert. My entire childhood was built in the summer on fruit freezes and fruit ices. I haven't had one in years, so I was absolutely ecstatic. I ordered a medium with three different flavors - lemon, pineapple, and strawberry guava. It was as cool and refreshing as I remember. The lemon was perfectly tart, while the pineapple brought citrus sweetness. The strawberry guava could have used a little more punch in the flavor department, but all in all, rounded things out nicely. I am absolutely thrilled a taste of my childhood still exists and look forward to supporting the small local business for years to come.

Happiest place in Carmichael! Love their curly fries and freezes! Friendly and hometown feeling every time. It's small business like Hagen's that make a community and give it character. Go in and try moms daily, fresh baked carrot cake too.
